Meks is the marketing service channel of the media group Keskisuomalainen. The group’s strong media brands offer advertisers an excellent touchpoint both locally and nationwide. We designed and implemented a website for Meks, with the primary goal of not only strengthening brand perception but also driving growth in media sales operations.

The purpose of the online service is to strengthen brand perception, enhance the customer experience, improve search engine visibility and serve as a tool for potential clients, professional buyers and Meks’ sales team. However, the primary objective of the service is to drive growth in Keskisuomalainen’s media sales business.

What we did

We delivered the renewal as a comprehensive project.

Through collaborative specification and design workshops, user experience and interface design, software development, integrations and thorough testing, we created a versatile, visually striking, and reliable website.

The service was built using the WordPress content management system.

Multiple target audiences

The website is designed to serve Meks’ diverse target audiences:

  • Small business owners
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Representatives of medium-sized companies
  • Representatives of large corporations
  • Media agencies (professional buyers)
  • Potential employees
  • Media
  • Internal staff

All solutions were designed and implemented to meet the needs of these target audiences.

The most important single feature on the website is the product listing, filtering and search functionality. Product data is imported from the client’s CRM system, Salesforce. Contact requests submitted via the website are sent to Salesforce for the sales team to handle. The integration is therefore bidirectional.

Content

The website presents content in a versatile way. The following custom content types were implemented for the service:

  • Products
  • Pages
  • Articles
  • Case stories
  • Campaigns
  • Contact information

To display the content of these content types (texts, images, videos, instructions, etc.), more than ten custom content blocks were designed.

Care

After the launch, we continue to take care of the service.

We will also evaluate the progress towards the goals using thorough analytics tracking. The functionality of the service, user behaviour and conversions are monitored and analysed. The service will be continuously improved using data to make it even more successful.
